Wade Bowen and Randy Rogers are hitting the road in support of their collaborative album, Hold My Beer, Vol. 1.
The two will begin their co-headlining tour Nutty Brown Amphitheater in Austin, Texas on May 21, but this is no new adventure for the Texas natives. The pair have been playing shows together for over eight years, when they have collaborated for a song or two during each others sets. Now, Bowen and Rogers will be visiting venues across the US throughout the spring and summer months.
Earlier this year, Bowen and Rogers released their first full-length join album, Hold My Beer, Vol. 1. The highly-anticipated album was produced by Lloyd Maines and has been praised by critics and fans as an expertly crafted storybook of Texas country at its best.
When asked by The Boot how the duo felt about their upcoming tour, they seemed well-prepared and excited for their dual musical trek across America.
“I’m ready to tour this record,” Rogers said. “We both have lived these songs and continue to do so.” Bowen agreed, adding “This is always my favorite time of year. Two buddies hangin’ out, playing music ’cause we love what we do. What could possibly be better?”
