On this week’s episode of The Voice, viewers were introduced to Nashville’s own Morgan Frazier, who left her regular set at Tootsie’s Orchid Lounge behind for a new chance at stardom. During her blind audition, Frazier showed off her impressive vocal abilities and artistry with a beautiful, stripped-down version of Cheap Trick’s “I Want You To Want Me.”

Her romantic rendition of the classic rock track impressed all four celebrity judges, including an eager Blake Shelton. “That voice had Emmylou Harris in it,” he observed, hoping to lure her onto his team. “One hundred percent country from her heart.”

After all four judges stated their case, Frazier couldn’t be moved from her country roots. She selected Shelton as her coach, following the footsteps of former contestants Danielle BradberyCassadee Pope and Meghan Linsey. Time will tell if she makes it to the final round, but things are looking good for Frazier’s future on the show.
