This Virginia Coffee Shop is Schooling Customers in Southern Manners

In the south, "bless your heart" is an insult, and being uncouth in actions or dress is generally not well tolerated. There's a coffee shop in Virginia that abides by the same rules, proving southern manners are still alive and well.

This sign, located outside of CUPS Coffee & Teais making rounds on the Internet for its unique message.

It reads:
"One small coffee" costs $5.00.
"One small coffee, please" and you'll pay only $3.00.
"Hello, I'd like one small coffee please" will only cost you $1.75, thanks to a greeting and some pleasantries.

Although it appears that you'll get a pretty substantial discount for having manners, the sign was just for fun.

"I decided because I need to solve all the injustices of the world to start charging more for people who didn't take the time to say hello and connect and realize we're all people behind the counter," owner Austin Simms told WDBJ7.

If anything, hopefully, the sign was a gentle reminder to mind your manners.
