This Video of a Giant Chicken is Freaking out the Internet

"What in the..." is the internet's collective reaction to this bizarre video of a giant chicken emerging from its coup. If there's one thing that's incredibly confusing to watch it's this giant chicken walking around. It's truly one of the strangest things I've ever seen. I think I audibly gasped when it emerged from its oversized chicken coup home.

The giant chicken video began making the rounds on social media in the United States on Sunday after it was shared on a handful of Facebook pages last week. Once one person sees this ridiculously large bird walking around it's that level of weird where you need to share it with all your friends.

It may take a few seconds to process that this big chicken is, in fact, a real creature and not a rejected Sesame Street character. That chicken is easily bigger than a small child, and really seems like Big Bird in real life (which is something I never had any interest in seeing as a small child.) This huge chicken could get Chick Fil A through lunch rush all on its own.

So what is this large chicken? A toddler in an elaborate chicken suit? A late model dinosaur? The internet's best guess is a Brahma chicken, also known as the "King of All Poultry." (It's an impressive chicken.) According to the Livestock Conservancy, the breed has U.S. origins. In the 1850's, American breeders used the genes of large fowl species imported from China to create a super chicken of sorts.

Brahma roosters typically weigh 18 pounds and hens top out around 14 pounds. This one looks... well, above average. Next, we just need footage of an entire farm of these giant chickens but that would most likely break the internet.
