Trace Adkins debuted his SiriusXM show, the “Throwback 30,” over the weekend.
Trace Adkins has joined Martina McBride and Eric Church among others as the latest country music superstar to host his own radio program on SiriusXM radio. The “Chrome” singer is now the voice of the Throwback 30 on the station Y2Kountry. The station debuted on March 15 and features Adkins counting down the Billboard top 30 country songs from that week, in a past year. The year featured in the inaugural broadcast of the station is 2000.
Trace Adkins may be the perfect choice for the Throwback 30 since many of his hits such as “Honky Tonk Badonkadonk” and “You’re Gonna Miss This” charted in the 2000’s. Though he’s no longer touring, he hasn’t been idle. You may have seen Adkins in the Matthew McConaughey 2011 drama The Lincoln Lawyer, or as the project manager in the all-stars version of the hit reality show Celebrity Apprentice.
