Toby Keith Fulfills Sick Child’s Dreams With Onstage Duet [WATCH]

In 2005, the Make-A-Wish Foundation contacted Toby Keith to tell him about one of his biggest fans.

10-year-old Trevor Scott desperately needed a liver transplant, and the organization wanted to help bring some happiness back into his life. Once they discovered his biggest dream was to meet Toby Keith, they sprung into action.

Not only did Scott get to meet his hero, but he was even invited onstage to sing “American Soldier” during his show at the Blossom Music Center in Cleveland, Ohio. This video shows their big duet, and it’s clear from Scott’s expression that it was a day he would never forget.

According to comments posted by Scott’s father on their YouTube video, the young boy received a liver transplant only three days later. Now, 10 years after the transplant, the boy is healthy and is currently an “aspiring law student.”

Scott’s inspiring story is one that is worth taking a few moments to remember how this small gift by a country superstar marked a life-changing time in this young boy’s life.
