Tim McGraw‘s Shotgun Rider tour is ending early due to some health issues. The country star has been placed on vocal rest, according to a statement posted on his Facebook page on Sept. 18.
The cancellation affects shows scheduled at Shoreline Amphitheatre At Mountain View in Mountain View, CA and Irvine Meadows Amphitheatre in Irvine, CA. Tickets purchased by fans will be refunded at point of purchase.
“This is so disappointing to me,” McGraw said. “We’ve had such a great summer and I was looking forward to this final weekend with the fans in California. I appreciate the support and look forward to coming back soon. The word ‘can’t’ is just not in my DNA, if there was any way I could sing, I would do it.”
Although fans in California may be disappointed, they can at least look forward to some new music from their favorite artist. McGraw’s 14th studio album, Damn Country Music, will be released on Nov. 6. His current single, “Top of the World,” is steadily climbing the country charts. He’s currently scheduled to play the Route 91 Festival in Las Vegas, NV on Oct. 4, which will likely be his last tour date of the year.
