Tim McGraw and Faith Hill aren’t just country music royalty — they’re American music royalty. And the proof is in the pudding. After all, the husband and wife superstar duo have been tapped to serve as advisors to all four teams on NBC’s The Voice.
Now in its 11th season, The Voice usually brings in guest advisors, but it’s rare that two superstars advise every single artist. Thanks to a sneak peak, we all get to see some of their advice to the contestants.
First and foremost, Tim and Faith’s influence on everybody (including the coaches) is evident. Just watch the way every contestant reacts to seeing the husband and wife megastars. Most of them have personal stories, too. One said a Tim McGraw concert was the happiest day of her life, while another revealed he’s used “McGraw” cologne forever.
And it’s pretty obvious the pair have a great sense of humor about it all.
What kind of tips can you expect? Well, for one, walk across the stage like you’re walking through mud (it makes more sense when you see it) and always have a reason for singing the songs you do. That doesn’t mean you have to tell the audience what it is, but always have one.
Tim and Faith also shared some of the things they love about each other as performers. Faith says Tim has always had an amazing knack for song selections. His 25 No. 1 singles and 10 No. 1 country albums prove that.
Since its initial massive success in America, The Voice has found new and interesting ways to stay up in the “talent show” ratings, like bringing in massively popular acts to guide singers.
See who best utilizes their advice when the show airs Mondays and Tuesdays at 7 p.m. central on NBC. You can also catch Tim McGraw and Faith Hill on their upcoming revival of the Soul2Soul Tour.
