Thomas Rhett's New Single is All About Falling and Staying in Love

Thomas Rhett is about to drop his brand new single "Unforgettable," and it's tailor-made for fans who can't get enough of his spirited love songs.

In a phone call with The Tennessean, Rhett says he wrote the song on the bus while on tour recently.

"It's basically just about reminding the girl that you're with today, 'Hey I remember every single detail,'" Rhett explained. "Of the night that we met, or the night that we fell in love. I remember what music was playing. I remember what you were wearing."

It's a love song aimed at girls, but Rhett is trying to help out the boys with this one too. "I think it's one of those things that girls find very sweet and attractive about their boyfriend or husband, or just someone they like," he adds.

You can hear a preview of the tune, which drops on July 28. Give it a listen below.

The most important part about the new single? "It's one of [Rhett's wife] Lauren's favorite songs on the record, so it's definitely Lauren approved," Rhett says. "Which makes me feel a whole lot better about it."

But beware, you might get too into it. "If you listen to it hardcore enough, you might tear up," says Rhett. Noted.

Thomas Rhett has been a busy man lately, between an upcoming album release and an expanding family. He and his wife Lauren welcomed their first daughter Willa in May. They underwent a year-long adoption process before she joined the family. Then, the pair found out they're expecting another girl, due in August.

Rhett's recent single "Craving You" featuring Maren Morris just hit No. 1 on the radio charts not long ago. That song was the first taste of new music since his last album Tangled Up. Though he doesn't have a name or release date for the new record, he promises it will be his most diverse yet.
