Even though healthy eating is becoming a priority for many consumers, Americans still love their fried chicken.
According to the American Customer Satisfaction Index 2015 Restaurant Report, Chick-fil-A is our favorite fast-food here in the U.S. The Atlanta-based chain received a satisfaction score of 86 out of 100, which put it at the top of the list. The results came from a comprehensive survey completed by over 5,000 Americans, which focuses on the quality of product and overall customer service satisfaction.
Mexican food chain Chipotle finished at a close second, followed by the sandwich experts at Panera Bread. This survey comes at a time when overall customer satisfaction with fast-food restaurants has dropped down to the lowest score in five years.
One of the most surprising results was McDonald’s ranking at the very bottom of the list. Experts believe that consumers are looking for healthier options, which is putting chains like McDonald’s at a disadvantage. The famous burger joint has had declining sales for over a year but told the LA Times that it’s “always listening” to customers and appreciates any feedback that can help it “improve and evolve” as a company.
