– 500 grams of bacon
– 1 cup of shallots, chopped
– 1/2 cup onions, chopped
– 2 garlic cloves, chopped
– 1/2 teaspoon chili powder
– 1/4 teaspoon smoked paprika
– 1/2 cup bourbon
– 1/4 cup maple syrup
– 1/4 cup balsamic vinegar

To begin this incredibly easy and delicious recipe, cut bacon into thin strips and then render out the fat and separate it. Once your bacon is crispy, cool and chopped, mix the onion, shallots and garlic with 2 tablespoon of the bacon fat and let the onions turn soft.
