There are lots of hot housing markets in Texas right now, and Houston is one of them. But what do you do when your home listing isn’t getting the number of showings you want?
If you’re Jessica Arnett of Villa Real Estate, the answer is simple: panda bears.
More specifically, dressing up as a panda bear for every photo on the real estate listing.
Arnett told the Houston Chronicle, “I take real estate seriously, but we had this home listed for three weeks and had only two showings. My seller said, ‘I heard a guy in Canada did this and I guess it worked.'”
Did it work in Houston? Boy howdy, it worked.
In the first day since the panda-themed listing, she’s scheduled several showings and received a whole bunch of calls from fellow realtors applauding her creativity. “Realtors asked me where I got the panda costume,” Arnett continues. “I said, ‘Don’t steal my idea!'”
In the listing, Arnett is a very busy panda. She can be seen eating, working out, bathing, sending some emails, lounging in the backyard, snuggling in bed and even taking care of her panda business. Arnett says she doesn’t plan on using the tactic for many showings, but isn’t opposed to bringing out the suit again once or twice a year.

Why a panda? Why not.
