For a mere $725 million, you can be the next owner of the iconic, Waggoner ranch in North Texas.
One of the largest privately owned ranches in America is up for grabs.
The 510,000 acre Waggoner ranch in North Texas is sprawling estate that is located about 175 northwest of the Dallas-Fort Worth area. The property expands across six counties near the Oklahoma border and has been in operation since it was established in 1889.
The beautiful estate is home to over 74,000 cows, and 500 quarter horses that roam across the expansive property.
The ranch’s backwards “D” logo has been consistently used since 1849 and is now one of the oldest brands in Texas.
There are over a thousand wells that have helped to pump oil on the property since it was first discovered there in 1902.
“We’ve had over 500 inquiries from all around the world,” said Bernard Uechtritz with Briggs Freeman Sotheby’s International Realty, who listed the property. “We are showing the ranch to national and international and Texas-based prospects on a weekly basis. A number of buyers are conducting due diligence, evaluating the property.”
The Waggoner ranch features 58 houses on two main compounds, as well as 20 cowboy camps.
“This is a Wall Street or Silicon Valley entrepreneur’s last chance to buy the next King Ranch,” Uechtritz said, referring to the only other large-scale ranching property in Texas. “It’s the only other ranching brand that has all the attributes and opportunities that the King Ranch does.”
