Sturgill Simpson and television host Stephen Colbert teamed up for a song dedicated to one of America’s most beloved restaurants.

Earlier this week, the alt-country star visited the Late Show With Stephen Colbert to promote the release of his third studio album, A Sailor’s Guide To Earth. Before performing his lead singer “Brace For Impact (Live A Little),” he appeared alongside Colbert to debuted their duet which they hope will land in Waffle House jukeboxes nationwide.

Most of us know and love the 24-hour eatery for its reliable menu filled with classic breakfast dishes, but do you know their rules of regulations? The pair advises against any drunken visits or escorting any zombies or skeletons into the establishment, or you might end up getting escorted out before your waffle gets golden brown.

Even though the song is completely ridiculous, Simpson’s killer voice almost manages to make it sound like a top 10 hit. It’s a hilarious moment that shows off his sense of humor, and one that will likely make you crave some waffles and hash browns.
