Atlantic Records recording artist Sturgill Simpson has just entered a publishing deal with Downtown Music Publishing.

Simpson is working on his third record after many accolades from his most recent project, Metamodern Scounds in Country Music in 2014. For his third album, he is working again with renown producer Dave Cobb. Simpson has three nominations for the Americana Music Awards (Album of the Year, Artist of the Year, and Song of the Year) which will be held in Nashville on Sept. 16.
