Stoney LaRue Apologizes for Domestic Dispute

After being arrested for a domestic abuse complaint, Stoney LaRue has issued an apology to his friends, family and fans.

On July 21, police were called to the musician’s Oklahoma City home after his girlfriend called 911 for a domestic dispute. LaRue was arrested for domestic abuse charges after allegedly pushing his girlfriend down the stairs of their home during an argument. According to News 9, his girlfriend was left with scratches and scrapes on her back and leg.

LaRue has now made a public statement on his website addressing the matter and says he’ll seek treatment for unspecified issues.

“I want to apologize to my family, my friends and my fans for the recent circumstances that have come to light. I am going to take some time to work on myself. I will be entering an intensive and extensive program, and I appreciate your thoughts and good wishes for me during this trying time. Please check my website and Facebook page for updates on my upcoming tour dates, but most importantly, I appreciate your support during this time.”

LaRue’s girlfriend, Amanda Winsworth, took to Twitter on July 21 to comment on the incident.
