They say every dog has its day, and that day is infinitely improved with a stay at this beagle-shaped inn.
For pet owners, traveling presents a particular predicament – it’s hard to leave the family dog behind on family vacations. The Dog Bark Park Inn has forever solved this problem for travelers passing through Cottonwood, Idaho. The B&B isn’t just dog-friendly – it’s dog-shaped.
Frances Conklin and Dennis Sullivan, self-taught chainsaw artists, built the inn themselves after years of hand-carving wooden dog sculptures. The puppy love doesn’t stop at the exterior – the rooms are heavily dog-themed, and the traditional pillow chocolates have been replaced by dog biscuits.
The inn is in the middle of Idaho’s beautiful rural rolling hills, so it’s a great place to go off leash – for humans too!
At only $98/night (plus a $15 pet fee), you can stay in the belly of the beast – er, beagle – using Airbnb (for the uninitiated, it’s like Uber for lodging).
