After revealing the dates for his upcoming 2016 RipCORD World Tour, Keith Urban shared another special gift with his fans.
He recruited his future tour-mates Brett Eldredge and Maren Morris for a special rendition of Adele’s pop hit, “Rolling in the Deep.” Recorded live from Sirius XM’s Music City Theater in Nashville, the trio trade verses and laughs throughout the lighthearted performance.
Although she stumbles over the lyrics during the pre-chorus, Morris quickly recovers and supplies an impressive and soulful take on the powerful track. After all three singers provide beautiful harmonies through the chorus, Eldredge takes his turn at going solo. He has fun with the impromptu cover, adding some extra twang and playing with the song’s key. Eventually, Urban takes over and brings the song to a whole new level, which earns waves of applause from the excited crowd.
Urban’s RipCORD World Tour will kick off on June 2 in Kansas City, MO. The 46-date tour will extend through the majority of 2016.
“I’m seriously chomping at the bit to kick off this tour,” Urban said in a press release. “We’ll be playing a lot of new music from Ripcord, all new production, [visiting] new cities where we’ve never played. It’s gonna be potent and unbridled!”
