Kacey Musgraves loves to throw in a few cover songs into her sets. Earlier this summer, she opted to cover a George Strait hit while visiting her home state of Texas.

During her performance at Gruene Hall in New Braunfels, Musgraves made the most of her time at the beloved dance hall. “Have y’all ever heard of George Strait?” she playfully asked the crowd, who responded with a wave of cheers. With a tambourine in hand, she slid right into a groovy, upbeat rendition of Strait’s 1998 hit, “I Just Wanna Dance With You.”

The crowd totally eats up the rendition, which adds a little extra sparkle and pep to the Strait tune. Those lucky enough to catch some of the final few shows of Musgraves’ Country & Western Rhinestone Revue may get to hear this snappy cover in person.

Although Musgraves is winding down her own headlining tour, she’ll also head to Las Vegas for four more shows with the King of Country himself. She’ll be the opening act for Strait’s final residency dates at the brand new T-Mobile Arena. Tickets are sold out for all four shows, which are sure to blow fans away.
