The American Idol alum sang the country classic during an appearance at the Grand Ole Opry.
Initially made famous by country music legend Conway Twitty, “Hello Darlin'” sounds simply beautiful sung in Scotty McCreery’s velvety-smooth baritone.
McCreery sang the classic earlier this year when he visited the Opry. When he sings the opening line, “Hello, darlin’,” the crowd erupts into cheers. McCreery paid tribute to the song’s original artist at the end by stating, “That’s Conway Twitty, y’all!”
Later this year McCreery will be dropping a new country album which he has told Rolling Stone will be “pure country”, and touring with Rascal Flatts on their Riot tour.
