This unique micro home proves that good things come in small packages.
When couple Jeremy and Mira Thompson decided to convert a yellow school bus into their future home, they didn’t leave out one single homey detail. The school-bus micro home took two years to build and now serves as their full-time home-on-wheels. The couple kept the front cab in full school-bus theme, while the rest of the house appears to be…well, a house.
The exterior, which is covered in wooden shingles, has multiple big windows with adorable windowsill flower boxes. The seafoam green front door is icing on the cake.
If you think this one-of-a-kind micro home can’t get any cuter, step inside to see the beautifully decorated home that spares no space. The interior features everything a full-sized house basically would. There are wooden floors, a wood burning fireplace, gorgeous light fixtures, full kitchen, bedroom with a loft up top and a full bathroom.
The wood burning fireplace adds some extra coziness to this already quaint home. It’s hard to remember we’re inside a school bus due to the beautiful decor. The Thompsons decorated the space with hammered tin and wood paneled walls, plants and little country knick knacks.
The Thompson’s make great use of their not-so-spacious digs by using lots of levels and shelving. And what’s a home without an adorable sofa?!
Obviously, no home is complete without a bathroom. The bus even features a beautiful little bathroom with picture frames on the walls, a normal sized toilet and shelving with rolled towels. How hotel-esque!
The Thompson’s have everything they need for life on the road! So, next time you’re on the market for a new home, think outside the bus (I mean box).
