Reba McEntire’s brother Pake is still recovering after suffering a serious stroke.
Reba McEntire has taken to her social media pages to share the current status of her brother’s health.
According to Reba’s Facebook posts, Pake McEntire suffered a stroke after having back surgery on May 13. The stroke caused serious complications, including blood on the brain and swelling. Doctors performed surgery to relieve pressure on his brain on May 16, and he has stayed in the hospital since to recover.
Today, Reba gave fans the latest on her brother’s recovery and thanked fans for their support during his recent health struggles.
“To give you an update on Pake, he is resting and recovering,” Reba said on an Instagram post. “He is still unconscious and the doctors have asked that we keep his room as quiet as possible so he can continue to rest. We appreciate all of your thoughts and prayers.”
Pake McEntire started his music career by singing alongside his sister in the family band the Singing McEntires. He then found success as a solo artist in the late 1980’s with a few successful singles, including his hit single, “Savin’ My Love for You.”
