Blake Shelton shocked the crowd during his performance at the Off The Rails Country Music Festival in Frisco, Texas over the weekend by bringing country legend Randy Travis onto the stage.
On April 23, the recent Country Music Hall of Fame inductee was escorted into the spotlight by Shelton during the tail end of his set. You can see footage of the heartwarming moment below.
The crowd goes wild when Travis smiles happily to the crowd, marking one of the first times he’s stepped onto a stage since he suffered a debilitating stroke in 2013.
“Ladies and gentlemen, this is Randy Travis. You tell me miracles can’t happen. You’re looking at one right here, man,” Shelton said to the crowd. “This is one of my heroes, and he ought to be one of your heroes. Thank you so much for being here tonight, Randy. We all love you.”
Later that night, Shelton took to his Twitter page to once again thank Travis for supporting his music and greeting the crowd. He even changed his avatar image on the social media page to a shot taken from that night of the two of them together.
Although Travis still has a long road to recovery ahead of him, it was a treat for all country fans to see his smiling face back in front of the crowds once again.
