Randy Rogers has shared the tragic news of his newborn daughter’s death.
Rumer Rain Rogers was born on June 3 at a hospital in Austin, Texas. Rogers and his wife shared the happy news of her birth through his band’s social media pages later that day.
The announcement of his daughter’s unexpected death was shared through a post on the Randy Rogers Band Facebook page yesterday (June 10).
“Rumer Rain Rogers, daughter of Randy and Chelsea Rogers, passed away last night at Seton Memorial Hospital in Austin, Texas,” the statement said. “Rumer died of natural causes, in her parents loving arms, just days after her birth. During this time of grieving, the family asks that individuals wishing to offer condolences make a donation to the children’s charity of their choosing. The family thanks you for your love and support.”
The band announced their decision to cancel a performance scheduled on June 11 in Roscoe, Texas out of respect for the Rogers family.
Out of respect for the Rogers family, RRB will be canceling the show at the Lumberyard this Friday night. Thanks for understanding. -TeamRRB

Rogers released a statement to Houston radio station 93Q Country to further explain what caused his daughter’s death.
“She died after a week long battle with a very rare condition. She died in our arms and in no pain,” Rogers said in his statement to the station. “She was absolutely beautiful in every way. Her brain however was very sick. I’m sure you all have many questions and we have all the answers the doctors gave us. We can share the story with you. It’s quite an extraordinary one. A memorial will be planned soon. We love you.”
