Vocalist Rachel Reinert has decided to cut ties with the country trio Gloriana.
The 26-year-old has been a member of the group since their formation in 2008. Vocalist and mandolin player Cheyenne Kimball left the group after the release of their first album in 2011. The trio quickly regrouped and enjoyed a top five hit with “(Kissed You) Good Night” in 2012, but have since struggled to gain any airplay on country radio.
Through a message posted to her social media pages, Reinert explained her gratitude for the support shown during her time with the group.
“It has been such an incredible ride and I have so many beautiful memories that I will cherish for a lifetime,” she writes. She goes on to wish brothers Tom and Mike Gossin “all the best” in their future.
Reinert says she made the decision to part ways with the band in order to work on her own solo project.
“I am excited to announce that I have begun working on the next chapter of my life as a solo country artist. I will be taking the first part of this year to write and record my album and cannot wait to get the music out as soon as I possibly can,” she writes.
So far, the Gossins have made no comment about the future of the group.
