Pam Tillis and the Property Brothers Walk Like an Egyptian at the Opry

YouTube/Grand Ole Opry

Country singer Pam Tillis spiced up her performance of her 1992 hit “Cleopatra, Queen of Denial” with some help from two surprise guests.

Halfway through the song, Tillis paused to address the crowd, recalling the making of the music video for the song. She recounted filming in Los Angeles and having the men on set carrying her around, fanning her and feeding her grapes.

“They gave me slave boys that stood there all day long … let me tell you, it was rough.” She continues, “I’ve got some fellas who said they would pitch in and help me recreate the ambiance of that video. Are you guys ready?”

She then  waves toward backstage and out come HGTV’s Property Brothers, Jonathan & Drew Scott. Watch it shake out in the video below.

Tillis instructs them to “walk like an Egyptian” and just get into it. “Don’t be afraid to shake what your mama gave you,” she tells them. “You can twerk if you need to.”

The trio have a blast dancing on stage with the brothers following Tillis’ lead. As the song ends, she thanks the crowd and Drew and Jonathan before walking off the stage with a big smile on her face.
