There are six adorable reasons for members of the Durant, Okla. Fire Department to be thankful this year.
The fire squad has had six different births amongst its 33-member crew, all between the months of February and June. It’s pretty unheard of to have six births within the same four month span, especially with only 33 crewmen. So, the firefighters and their spouses decided to make of the baby boom by using the newborns for their annual Christmas card.
Fire chief Roger Joines and his wife organized the pint-sized photo shoot. The babies’ mothers bought matching firetruck pajamas, and took some adorable pictures inside the station.
Luckily, station engineer and paramedic Richard Parker was a photographer before joining the crew, so he headed up the photography.
In a statement, Joines said it was important for the station to personalize the Christmas card to show what was most important to the firefighters – their families.
