Nikki Lane Is Hitting the Road for ‘Highway Queen’ Stagecoach Tour

Over the years, Southern California’s Stagecoach Festival has grown into a country music behemoth. But the festival is as much about the developing Americana and traditional acts as the mainstream headliners. To that extent, up-and-comer Nikki Lane is ready to hit the road on the way to her performance at Stagecoach 2017.

Lane releases her third album Highway Queen in February. So, Stagecoach Festival teamed up with Lane to put on a “spotlight” tour promoting the album. The Stagecoach Spotlight Nikki Lane Highway Queen Tour hits 27 towns from February through March. And then, of course, the Stagecoach Festival in late April.

Brent Cobb, Robert Ellis and Jonathan Tyler join Lane in select cities along the way. All of them will appear at the festival in April, and Tyler even co-produced Lane’s new record.

The tour is a super cool way for Stagecoach to show its commitment to acts living outside the mainstream world. Lane routinely fluctuates between Americana, neotraditional country and throwback outlaw sounds. Having Stagecoach spotlight her across the country makes perfect sense.

Plus, the flow of the tour is pretty cool, too. Lane kicks everything off in Alabama before making her way from the East Coast to the West. With plenty of Midwest stops in between, too.
