There’s something warm and comforting about a well-made meatball. Because they’re so easy to change up by adding different meats or seasonings, meatballs make a solid dish. If you’ve run out of new ideas for how to make your own epic meatballs, then there’s a recipe you need to see.
These bacon-wrapped, barbecued onion bombs have changed the meatball game forever. They’re literally a combination of anything and everything delicious, piled into one crispy and tasty meal. Even though they sound complicated, these onion bombs are actually pretty simple to put together. All you need to start is ground beef, two yellow onions, one package of bacon, brown sugar, bread crumbs and a few spices and condiments. Once you cut the bottoms and tops off your onions, they become cute little shells for your meatballs. After you make your meatball mixture, which you can customize to your liking, the base of your bombs has been completed.
Next, you need to wrap these bad boys in some bacon. Yes, I said bacon. Once they are completely covered, slather on your favorite barbecue sauce and throw them on the the grill. Make sure you watch them carefully and take their temperature to verify they’re cooked thoroughly. After a few minutes, you’ll be left with some of the most delicious meatballs you’ve ever tasted. Don’t believe me? Try it out for yourself.
