Even when you are the reigning Entertainer of the Year, you are susceptible to having someone swoop in and steal your thunder. This was proven by a surprisingly talented young fan at Luke Bryan‘s recent Kill the Lights Tour stop over the weekend.
While in Bristow, Va. on June 9, Bryan called a little girl to the stage to help him begin the tour’s title track, “Kill the Lights.” However, the country star received much more than he bargained for when five-year-old Bella knew every single word to the song. Once Bella showed off her lyrical knowledge, Bryan cut the band off and silenced the audience, calling attention to the brightly shining star sitting beside him.
“So pretty much you know my music better than my 5-year-old, should we do the real thing?” Bryan asked. Upon receiving her consent, he cued the band with a smile. “She’s on it,” he exclaimed. “Let’s go!”
Throughout the entire song, the new duet partners alternated lines as the crowd celebrated the display of cuteness before them. What made the performance even more adorable was Bryan’s affection toward Bella, which included him patting down her hair and, ultimately, pulling her close and giving her a kiss on the head.
Bryan, Little Big Town, and Dustin Lynch are currently on the road on the second leg of the Kill the Lights Tour. You can find a full list of upcoming tour dates at Bryan’s official website.
