Over the past few months, we’ve been raving over Mo Pitney and his mature throwback sound.
The rising musician has been enjoying a lot of success in recent months after making his big debut at the Opry and winning over fans with his relatable tracks “Country” and “Clean Up on Aisle Five”. Now, Pitney has a little something extra to celebrate.
Earlier this week, he popped the question to his girlfriend, Emily Bankester. Pitney shared a photo on Instagram of the two posing happily, as Bankester showed off her shiny new diamond ring.
“I couldn’t be happier,” Pitney shared. “The Lord is just dumping love on me. I watched Him form the woman I asked for on my knees. I love this beautiful Jesus loving woman and I’m so excited for a lifetime of serving The Lord together. I’m overflowing with thankfulness for the future Emily Pitney.”
The future Ms. Pitney has some incredible talents of her own. She plays both the fiddle and clawhammer banjo in the award-winning bluegrass band The Bankesters. It seems like a match made in musical heaven to me.
No wedding date has been set and the two will have to work around Pitney’s increasingly busy schedule. He’s currently hard at work on his debut full-length album and is out promoting his latest single, “Boy and a Girl Thing”.
Congrats to the happy couple!
