It looks like Miranda Lambert fans won’t have to wait much longer to hear her new music.
According to a post from radio station Coyote Country 99.9, Lambert is distributing a brand new single on July 18. This seems to confirm rumors that the country star is gearing up to release some new material by the end of the year.
Since her divorce from Blake Shelton last year, Lambert has spent most of her time working on new music in Nashville. Although Shelton used the demise of their relationship as content for his new album, If I’m Honest, it’s unclear whether or not Lambert will directly address the topic musically.
“I’m not rushing trying to get a project done, just taking my time, enjoying it, going to see live music. Just kind of being in it,” she told Entertainment Tonight in April. “Just getting creative. That’s what I do. That’s what I love the most.”
Aside from making new music, Lambert has kept busy with her other side projects. During this year’s CMA Fest in Nashville, she helped dozens of abandoned and neglected animals find new homes. She’s also in the middle of expanding her Pink Pistol boutique in her hometown of Lindale, Texas. Lambert recently closed down her boutique and bed and breakfast in Tishomingo, Okla., where she and Shelton previous lived together.
