As the 50th annual CMA Awards draws closer, more country superstars have been added as performers.
Miranda Lambert, Luke Bryan, Kacey Musgraves, Little Big Town, Tim McGraw, Kelsea Ballerini and Florida Georgia Line are among the second round of artists added to this year’s lineup. Superstar couple Garth Brooks and Trisha Yearwood are also slated to perform a medley of classic country duets during the ceremony.
These nine musicians join the previously announced performers Dierks Bentley, Eric Church, Maren Morris and Keith Urban. Co-hosts Carrie Underwood and Brad Paisley will also perform their latest hits.
Country fans should mark their calendars for this star-studded event. Since this awards will mark the CMA’s 50th anniversary, fans should expect plenty of surprises and special collaborations. This year will also feature a focus on classic country hits instead of today’s biggest hits. The choice to focus on older hits was made to pay homage to the CMA’s impressive history.
The 2016 CMA Awards will be held at Nashville’s Bridgestone Arena on Nov. 2. Fans can see the ceremony broadcast live via ABC at 7 p.m. CT.
