Miranda Lambert Makes 9-Year-Old Double Amputee’s Dream Come True

The country star made a nine-year-old double amputee’s dream come true.

For Kayln Squires, a brave young girl from Ellisville, MS, life started off with quite the hurdle. At just eight months old, Kayln underwent a double amputation of her legs because of an irreparable congenital birth defect, according to WSMV-TV. Despite the cards Kayln has been dealt, this sweet nine-year-old doesn’t let anything slow her down, especially her support of country music.

Instead of getting ordinary looking prosthetics, Kayln had some fun with it and had the faces of Miranda Lambert, Blake Shelton, and Luke Bryan put on her prosthetic legs. Little did she know, Hanger Prosthetic & Orthotics in Hattiesburg would help make her dream of meeting one of her favorite singers, Miranda Lambert, come true.

The prosthetic company paid for Kayln and her family to travel to Biloxi, Mississippi to attend the Miranda Lambert concert and even meet the star herself! At the meet and greet, Miranda signed Kayln’s legs (next to her picture, of course!) and gifted her with other autographed goodies.

“Her positive attitude on life is how she overcomes all obstacles, she doesn’t allow anything to hold her back,” said Kayln’s proud momma, Christy Dean Squires. “Anytime she sees someone with any type of physical difference, she walks up to them and introduces herself, and tells them they are special just like her.”

Kayln continues to be an inspiration to others and has big aspirations of one day becoming a cosmetologist or a prosthetic limb doctor. We know that with her positive and contagious outlook on life, she will do great things no matter which path she chooses!
