Miranda Lambert Joins Ashley Monroe for First Performance Since Divorce

Miranda Lambert surprised concertgoers with a performance at Ashley Monroe‘s album release party. It was the first time Lambert has taken the stage since announcing her divorce from Blake Shelton.

The party, which celebrated Monroe’s soon-to-be-released album, The Blade, was held at the Basement East concert venue in Nashville on July 22. Lambert appeared onstage for a special performance of her 2011 hit, “Heart Like Mine” alongside Monroe, who helped co-write the song. The 31-year-old singer seemed in high spirits as she shared some humorous banter with her friend and fellow country star before they began their joint performance. According to WKRN, Lambert had been singing along from the audience for the entire party and was invited on-stage during Monroe’s encore.

Lambert may be enjoying some time off before she begins her massive fall headlining tour, but she’s definitely keeping busy. She is scheduled to perform an intimate and unplugged version of her Roadside Bars and Pink Guitars tour in Nashville on July 28. The surprise show, which was announced just hours before news of her divorce hit on July 20, sold out in minutes. You can find a full list of Lambert’s upcoming tour dates at her official website.
