Miranda Lambert teared up on Friday night (July 29) as she was singing a song that she co-wrote with Blake Shelton. The performance took place at the Hollywood Casino Amphitheatre in Tinley Park, Ill. Lambert wound up finishing the song as her fans sang along, many of whom were also in tears.
It’s been a really tough year for Miranda Lambert. Between divorcing from ex-husband Blake Shelton and starting a new relationship, Lambert has definitely had a full plate lately. So, it’s no wonder that the song “Over You” triggered the emotional tears.
“Over You” is a tribute to Blake Shelton’s brother. He died in a car accident when Shelton was just a teenager. The powerful lyrics are ones that most people can relate to, and most fans find themselves in tears Lambert sings this song.
