If you were hoping to catch Miranda Lambert on tour during the final leg of her Keeper of the Flame Tour, you will have to wait a little while longer. Due to some vocal issues, the country singer is now cancelling her three remaining Texas dates for that tour.
After a press release surfaced late on Monday, the news quickly spread regarding the singer’s health. While she has yet to address the information herself, multiple sources say that her doctors have now placed her on mandatory vocal rest. Her website also confirms these cancellations.
Unfortunately, Lambert has had trouble with her vocal cords in the past. In 2012, she also needed to cancel a few dates due to vocal issues. A show in Canada had the same fate last year.
The dates Lambert is cancelling for this tour are those in Corpus Christi, Austin and San Antonio. If you have tickets to these shows, you can receive a full refund by contacting the seller of your tickets. Those who chose to purchase their tickets online or over the phone will receive automatic refunds.
At the very least, fans will hopefully be able to enjoy a new album very soon. After releasing her hit single “Vice” on July 18, reports say a new album is on the way soon. However, the singer has yet to confirm the release date. She only says that her new album will give us a peek into what she’s been going through over the past year.
