In Texas, we have an eating competition that will comp you a 72-ounce steak, one buttered roll, a shrimp cocktail, salad and potato, so long as you can finish it all within one hour. One New York restaurant is offering a similar challenge, but with a much grander prize.
Don Chingon’s in Brooklyn will give 10 percent ownership of their restaurant to the first person to down their massive 30-pound burrito — filled with steak, chicken, pork rice, beans, and salsa — and special ghost pepper margarita in one hour or less.
Better bring your sweatpants and a 72-ounce bottle of Prilosec. Aside from being a recipe for wicked heartburn, you’ll be disqualified if you spill the beans or any bodily fluids during the competition. You’ll get a free t-shirt no matter how you perform.
