Forbes recently published a story on the increasing amount of billionaires snapping up large parcels of land across the country. Now, rich people buying land doesn't seem like anything new, but the reason behind the purchases is.
Many of these land parcels include "doomsday bunkers," which are underground shelters that can be used in case of alien invasion, nuclear war or any other type of worst-case scenario. Many of these emergency-ready estates are in states like Montana and Kansas, where you can buy large pieces of land that don't rely as much on modern conveniences.
