West Texas Man Arrested for Shooting His TV Over Country Music Video

Horizon Police Department

Get ready to file this one under “WTF?” Last weekend, a West Texas man was arrested for shooting his television after an argument over a music video. To be honest, it almost sounds too good to be true, but it is. Arrested for deadly conduct, Lamar Barry Andrews shot his TV during an argument with his girlfriend in their home.

Andrews’ girlfriend called police and met with them once they arrived on the scene. According to her account, the two got into a heated argument over a country video that was playing on the television. Apparently unable to control his anger, Andrews unloaded a single round of his Colt .45 into the TV. As one might have guessed, the television was destroyed, and the bullet hit a fence. Luckily, there were no injuries due to Andrews’ questionable behavior.

Under the custody of Horizon City Police and booked for deadly conduct, Andrews’ bail was set at $2,500. He is currently being held at El Paso County jail.

So let that be a lesson those of you who take your country music videos very seriously. Watch your temper, or you just might end up behind bars.
