Hear Luke Combs' New Song 'Must've Never Met You'

On June 1, Luke Combs released a video of his new song, "Must've Never Met You," off of the 2018 follow-up deluxe release of his 2017 record This One's For You. The song was written by Combs, Jonathan Singleton and Robert Williford

This One's For You Too features five extra tracks tacked on to the end of the already successful album including "Houston, We Got a Problem," which he also released a video for on the same day.

While the video for "Houston We Got a Problem" follows Combs as he performs for both a small meet and greet audience to a sold out show for tons of fans, "Must've Never Met You" takes us into the studio for a intimate performance of the song that highlights Combs' strong vocals and signature slight rasp.

Avoiding tapping your foot or nodding your head along to the track is near impossible, and in addition to a good driving beat, the song has instantly relatable lyrics that perfectly convey the point that getting over someone is much easier said than done.

Combs will play at the Grand Ole Opry and Nissan Stadium for CMA Fest this week in Nashville. Afterward, he will embark on tour across the U.S. until the end of September where he will jump acorss the pond for several dates in Europe.

"Must've Never Met You" Lyrics:

Just pick yourself up, dust yourself off, they say it ain't that hard
But just putting one foot in front of the other ain't getting me too far
This moving on ain't coming along the way they said it would
I guess whoever said the grass is greener must've never seen the other side
What don't kill you makes you stronger sure sounds like a lie
And whoever said that time heals everything and everything will be alright?
Whoever said it ain't the end of the world, you can find somebody new
Must've never met you
Must've never heard you say you'd never leave me, then watch you walk away
Must've never fell as hard as I did 'cause then they wouldn't say
Maybe it wasn't meant to be and you're better off alone
I guess whoever said the grass is greener must've never seen the other side
What don't kill you makes you stronger sure sounds like a lie
And whoever said that time heals everything and everything will be alright?
Whoever said it ain't the end of the world and you'll find somebody new
Must've never met you, must've never met you
Maybe it wasn't meant to be and maybe you're better off alone
Whoever said the grass is greener must've never seen the other side
What don't kill you makes you stronger still sounds like a lie
And whoever said that time heals everything and everything will be alright?
Whoever said it ain't the end of the world, you know she ain't the only girl
You win, you lose, you find somebody new
Must've never met you, must've never met you
