You may soon be able to fill your home with the scent of Luke Bryan.
Yankee Candle — the store that instantaneously gives you a headache when walking by it in the mall — is offering Luke Bryan scented candles through a contest to promote the singer’s fifth album, Kill the Lights, which drops Aug. 7.
So what does Luke Bryan smell like? Bourbon and vanilla, apparently.
According to the company, the scent is a “chart-topping fragrance” that’s “a traditional warm-me-up on a cold winter’s day – a mug full of something steaming topped with a layer of thick vanilla cream and laced with a dash of strong bourbon. Warm and sweet, just like Luke!”
But hold on, don’t leave and run to the mall just yet. Currently, the candle is only available through the contest. The grand prize includes the candle, a copy of the CD and a guitar autographed by Bryan.
Surprisingly, this wasn’t the only bizarre marketing ploy the singer executed within the past seven days. Last week, Bryan debuted his single, “Kill the Lights”, and its lyric video on the popular hook-up app Tinder.
You’ve got to hand it to the guy; he knows his audience.
