Lukas Nelson and Promise of the Real have teamed up with Lady Gaga for a soulful new song.
The group had several artists step in to lend vocals for their new self-titled LP. Among the featured artists is Lady Gaga, who's featured on "Carolina" and "Find Yourself." While it may seem like an odd pairing, Nelson and Gaga have found success together in the past. Nelson was one of the artists who helped Gaga with her song, "The Cure."
"Find Yourself" is a bit rock, a bit blues, and a bit country. The group previously spent some time touring with Neil Young's band, so don't be surprised if there's a little bit of Young that shines through.
The song is about "taking my power back and owning the love that I deserve," Nelson told Rolling Stone. It's soulful, and the two singers meld together naturally. Gaga's voice is a brilliant complement to Nelson's; there's a richness and balance to the duet.
Nelson's dad, Willie, will also be on the album. You can hear the two singing together on the cut "Just Outside Of Austin."
Lukas Nelson and Promise of the Real will be available in stores and online on Aug. 25.
