Little Big Town will help represent country music during the upcoming 58th annual Grammy Awards.
The group, comprised of members Karen Fairchild, Kimberly Schlapman, Jimi Westbrook, and Phillip Sweet, is currently the only country act that will perform during the ceremony. This year, Little Big Town has been nominated for both Best Country Album for Pain Killer, as well as Best Country Duo/Group Performance for “Girl Crush.”
The foursome joins a list of performers which includes pop songstress Adele, rap artist Kendrick Lamar and R&B breakthrough the Weeknd.
Lady Antebellum will also be featured during a tribute to pop artist Lionel Richie, who has been selected as the 2016 MusiCares Person of the Year. Vocalist Charles Kelley said the band’s participation in the performance is still up in the air, as his wife is due to give birth to their first child around the same time as the awards show.
“That’s something I want to be a part of,” Kelley told said. “So, I don’t know. We may have to call in a backup to take my place.”
Fans will simply have to wait and see if Kelley is able to make to Los Angeles’ Staples Center in time for the big event.
The 58th annual Grammy Awards air live Feb. 15 at 8 p.m. ET on CBS.
