Hear Little Big Town's Dreamy New Track 'Summer Fever'

Right before Karen Fairchild, Kimberly Schlapman, Phillip Sweet and Jimi Westbrook take over hosting duties for this year's CMT Music Awards, the foursome known as Little Big Town decided to release their breezy, soon-to-be instant summer hit, "Summer Fever."

The song you won't stop dancing to this season was penned by co-writers Jesse Frasure, Cary Barlowe, Sam Romans and Fairchild, who takes lead vocals on the track with her signature smooth voice. Her vocals ride the waves of the song so perfectly that you'll feel like you're driving up the coast for a beach day, ready to embrace "that flip-flop attitude," and "dance in the sand while the sun sets deeper."

Though it's not unusual to sing about summertime in pop-country music, Little Big Town musically paints a picture of summer love and escapism that differs from tunes about beer and beach babes. With that being said, it's still a very danceable hit.

"I dare you to sit still when this song comes on . . . it's impossible," Nash Country Daily quotes the song's co-producer Shane McAnally. "I don't even dance, but something comes over me when this thing kicks in. I can't wait for the world to catch 'Summer Fever.'"

"It's always amazing when a song seems to just wait for its own perfect timing...I can't wait to hear this song coming out of a rolled down window this summer," Jesse Frasure added

The track will eventually be a part of the band's future record they've been hard at work on.
