Hear Shania Twain's Comeback Single 'Life's About to Get Good'

She's finally back, y'all. And in true Shania Twain form, her comeback single "Life's About To Get Good" barely teeters on the edge of country.

Earlier today (June 15) the Canadian country hitmaker dropped the first track from her highly-anticipated record Now. If you're looking for something more stripped down (a la "The Woman In Me"), this song probably won't be for you.

This time around, Twain loads up the track with multiple harmonies, piano, percussion and vocal effects to bring some bounce and energy to the tune. Sadly, the uplifting message of Twain's lyrics ends up getting drowned out by the flood of unneeded musical elements.

Give it a listen below.

Now, don't get me wrong. I'm pumped for Shania to finally make her return to the genre. Most of those added effects were likely used to counteract Twain's vocal issues that stemmed from issues with Lyme Disease. But I do hope that the rest of the tracks on her upcoming record strip down the distractions and focus on the talents that got her to the top in the first place.
