Lady Antebellum is using their fame for the good of others by giving seven lucky fans a year off from mortgage payments.
Lady Antebellum is holding its 7FOR7 sweepstakes to ease the financial burdens of seven deserving fans. The band is partnering with Quicken Loans to award the winners with a year’s worth of mortgage payments.
Since its launch last fall, the 7FOR7 campaign has been a way for Lady Antebellum to show fans they care as they prepare for their upcoming Wheels Up 2015 Tour, which kicks off May 1. The tour will also feature rising country stars Sam Hunt and Hunter Hayes.
To enter the contest, fans are asked to create a short submission outlining what a year off from mortgage payments would mean to them. From now until August, one winner will be chosen each month to have their mortgage paid and travel to a Lady Antebellum show, all expenses paid. Two first-prize winners will also win VIP trips to a concert, and 20 second-prize winners will receive an autographed copy of Lady Antebellum’s latest album, 747.
According to Rolling Stone, the band’s female lead singer, Hillary Scott, said they want to “use [their] platform with intention and purpose.” They’ve done a great job of that so far, and the 7FOR7 sweepstakes is only another way for them to give back to their fans. More info about the sweepstakes and the Wheels Up 2015 Tour can be found on the band’s website.
