Kip Moore Opens New Rock Climbing and Hiking Lodge in Kentucky

Country recording artist Kip Moore, best known for his hits "Somethin' 'Bout a Truck" and "More Girls Like You," has a brand new business venture stemming from one of his other passions: the great outdoors. Moore recently opened up a lodging facility with his longtime friend, Jeremy Salyers, in Wolfe County, Kentucky.

Located at 494 Big Andy Ridge Road in Rogers, BedRock at the Red gives lodgers access to some of the best climbing and hiking opportunities in the area. Outdoor enthusiasts will love spending the day out discovering the crags, waterfalls and dense forest of the Red River Gorge and returning to the cozy, yet modern, amenities of BedRock at the Red including wifi, air conditioning, a kitchen and a 1400 square-foot community space.

"This space is something I've been really looking forward to being ready," Moore stated. "Every part of the lodge has been intricately thought through, and hopefully encourages guests to connect on a community level. I love to rock climb in my spare time and I think we've created something pretty special."

Reservations to stay in a private room with a handcrafted queen and twin bunk bed runs about $90 a night, while choosing one of the top or bottom bunks in the BedRock bunker room will cost about $30. (The bathrooms are nice, women's and men's family style facilities.) There are still a few rooms available for the Fourth of July when the lodge will host a celebration including a morning hike/climb, followed by a nap to recharge and an evening time celebration utilizing the outdoor grill and firepit.

In addition to hosting adventures for the night, BedRock at the Red can also be rented for small weddings and retreats totaling 32 guests for a unique, secluded and comfortable event. Check out their website for more information and start planning your getaway.
