Kenny Chesney’s former band member is getting a spotlight all of his own as the star of the Outdoor Channel’s newest show, Nick’s Wild Ride.
Nick Hoffman, a renowned and award winning fiddle player, previously backed Kenny Chesney for more than a decade. A few years back, he stepped down from Chesney’s band to join one of his own called The Farm. Now, he’s combining his love for music with the outdoors to start his next adventure, a 13-episode travel series.
Nick’s Wild Ride will take viewers on an exciting journey that goes beyond just hunting and fishing. While exploring worldly locations, Hoffman will also delve deep into the culture of each place he goes.
Viewers will get to experience the music, food, sights and history that make up each of these places. They’ll also get to see firsthand the craziness Hoffman will encounter as he sets off into the unknown.
In the series’ first episode, Hoffman travels to Louisiana where locals give him the inside scoop on how to make hot sauce. After that, he trenches through the swamps of the Mississippi River to hunt turkey and catch crawfish.
Other exciting places on Hoffman’s travel list include Nebraska, Denver, Buenos Aires and Mexico. Don’t miss out on the action. Tune in on Friday nights at 7:30PM EDT/6:30PM CDT, because it sounds like it’s going to be quite the wild ride.
Hoffman grew up in Minnesota before relocating to Nashville to put his fiddle skills to use. Aside from Kenny Chesney, he’s played for artists such as Keith Urban, Brooks & Dunn, Trace Adkins, Sara Evans and many more. In 2012, he won the Country Music Association’s coveted Touring Musician of the Year award.
