Country music star Kenny Chesney just released the music video for his flaming hot duet with Pink, “Setting The World On Fire.” The song is currently climbing the country charts, landing at No. 6 after only being out for 7 weeks.
Chesney famously delayed his album just days before its release to include the duet. Good call, since the song snatched immediate acclaim.
Instead of Nashville, the no-frills video was shot in Los Angeles, California. Not surprising, given that’s where the song takes place as well. Two lovebirds enjoy each others company in the fleeting moments of life. Just like the song — imagine that!
Be sure to look for the clever shots of billboards advertising the song throughout the clip too. They’re the only times Chesney or Pink appear in the new video, directed by P.R. Brown.
The song, written by Josh Osborne, Matt Jenkins and Ross Copperman, soars thanks to its hooky melody and excellent contributions from Pink. With any luck, the two will find an avenue to perform the song live.
Chesney originally planned his new album release for July 8. However, he moved the date back three months to accommodate the new music. He also changed the album name from Some Town Somewhere to Cosmic Hallelujah — a much more interesting title.
The album comes out Oct. 28. Kenny Chesney just wrapped up his monster 2016 tour and plans to take a break from the road for the next year.
